Information to our friends overseas
We aim to complement the knowledge of healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists, physical therapists, dentists, and many others), whether graduates or those still in training, on topics related to the relief and study of pain in its various facets and the care of patients in their last six months of life (terminally ill patients).
To achieve this, we generate high-quality educational materials using pedagogical strategies that promote easy understanding and contain up-to-date, relevant information considered "state-of-the-art" in these areas of study. We also hold conferences, discussion forums, workshops, meetings, symposia, diploma courses, training sessions, and other spaces where we promote networking, share the points of view of various professionals considered "opinion leaders," facilitate the acquisition of new knowledge, and disseminate scientific research conducted in Latin America. We support and guide those who wish to conduct or publish their scientific findings and generate research articles and books for health professionals.
We are a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2010 by Mexican algologists and palliative care specialists. Since its inception, we have been committed to providing education for Spanish-speaking healthcare professionals, focusing on the relief and study of pain in its various facets and providing care to patients in their last six months of life.
